Random coinage

I work from home on Mondays, so…

The Zoom from home outfit

Tokyo robe

I bought this with the full intention of wearing it as a coat around the city. I wore it before Christmas around Russian Hill and felt pretty conspicuous. Building up the courage to give it a second go on the streets, but only paired with an outfit that is entirely modern.

I can’t remember the name of the shop where I found this guy, but it was in Koenji. The proprietor was really cool, a little grungy, selling reworked traditional garb. He had a little shop, with a big tarp you had to draw back in order to enter. When I saw this, I immediately threw it on and fell in love with the panoply of lines, faces, African trimming, and random coinage. It deserves to be worn as outerwear on the streets.
