Celebrate ugly

Fau Chao Ji shirt jacket

Upon landing in London, I checked into my “home” on Fleet Street, showered, changed, and promptly headed to Camden to visit my favorite shopkeeper in Last Fashion. I was dismayed to learn she was traveling and wouldn’t be around while I was in town. I had 40 minutes before I had to meet Syco on Regent Street, so I scanned the racks and found this Frankensteined shirt jacket.

Wore this today for final birthday celebrations in Gilroy with Unsung Diva. As I headed to BART, I checked myself and the shirt in a window, only to hear two girls laugh and tell me not to worry, and that I looked great. God’s people.

Chanel Boy Reverso bag

I’m very tempted to attach charms purchased in London to this guy, as a means of dolling him up for Spring. Trendy? Yes… but customization is always a good thing.

Prada black saffiano driving shoes

Spring means driving shoes. I’m feeling conflicted though - right now I wear the same bootcut black trousers that, in all honesty, don’t suit these types of shoes. I’ve historically worn these with skinny pants (to which I may never return) and cropped pants.

Prada’s website shows a model wearing driving shoes with roomy tapered pants piled on top. Hmm. They do like to celebrate ugly. Maybe I need to get into the habit of wearing these with my current bootcut trousers (since I own about 6 of the same pair of pants) and acclimate. I have to, considering how many pairs of Prada driving shoes are in my closet.
