Feelings of betrayal
My friend Bob is flying back from NYC tonight, but then leaving for London without me on Sunday. He was supposed to join me in March. He promised and reneged. You can’t trust people nowadays, even people with whom you’ve shared countless butter cakes. That’s a gross sentence right there.
I’ll sublimate my feelings of betrayal with all the great music debuting this week.
The London Will Have to Wait outfit
Undercover coat
I tried to insist upon the world that this isn’t a raincoat, that it’s an everyday piece of outerwear for both clear skies and downpour. But I think it’s time to call a spade a spade. This is a slicker, paired best with rain.
Sheep hat
Let’s call this what it is: my toupee.
Blackmeans coin pouch
Porter rucksack
Just the essentials again. I swear I’ll wear a proper crossbody purse starting tomorrow.
Dolce & Gabbana boots
I stare at these boots a lot when in meetings, imagining how horrified I’d be if the texture of the leather was the texture of my aging skin. And yet, in the form of an angular boot, I love how it looks. You’re welcome for this unsolicited useless fact.
Rails sweatshirt
While I understand the logic behind wardrobe staples being nondescript for everyday use (I own a lot of simple black tees and slacks), I admire people who opt for interesting basics: an odd shape for their go-to jeans, a dazzling encrusted adornment on their everyday shoe, neon colored glasses. My basic black sweatshirt comes with scales and side zip vents.
