The church lady

Arizona Iced Tea made the effort to dine with me at one of SF’s last great establishments: Cheesecake Factory. I made the mistake of sharing what I planned to order. When our server asked what we were having, Arizona Iced Tea ordered my order first, leaving me no choice but to say I’d have what he was having. Like he inspired me.

He did the same thing when we ordered dessert.

Straight men are out of control.

The Cheesecake Factory Skinnylicious Menu outfit

Mihara Yasuhiro hair sneakers

It’s like wearing a toupee on your heels. Sadly, these are the only things that I still own from my first trip to Tokyo. They’re comfortable and have a great toe shape. What’s more, from the side, it looks like an extension of my pants, with the white part of the sneaker abruptly peeking out. It’s a magical illusion of a shoe.

Johnson Leathers Type 1 jacket

Less than a year old but the phantom horsehide is breaking in nicely.

Mumami tiger scarf

An animal a day keeps the basic beige Becky away. Also: the more I use this scarf, the more it reminds me of Prada.

Anthropologie cap

After yesterday’s shiny cap fiasco, I reached for the hat that hugs my large head in the most flattering way. My dome looks more framed and less strangled in a vice grip in this cap. I need to have a hard look at all of my caps and discard anything that looks shrunken atop my head.

Loewe Puzzle bag

After we left Chez Cheesecake, Arizona Iced Tea told me how nervous he is to leave his rather nice bicycle locked up on a public street. I understand the fear of being robbed: I want to walk around holding this bag by the hand instead of crossbodied, but I’m paranoid that someone will snatch it and run. And no one needs to see me run after a mugger like the church lady that I am.

Seven (?) face socks

I bought these socks on a whim in a Dublin market and ended up loving the way they look with white sneakers, so I ended up going back and grabbing a few more. They feel like they’re from Prada’s 2014 Spring collection, where they had women’s faces on coats and dresses.
