The joy of piling

Jennifer’s Body tee

Finally saw Smile 2. The highlight of seeing Kyle Gallner continue his role—albeit briefly—brought to mind how great he was in Jennifer’s Body as a goth. When a guy looks good in eyeliner… I’m just saying.

Needles cardigan

The layering piece I plan to bring with me to London. Smartens up any horror tee for afternoon tea.

Button snood

Thankfully the weather chilled and even brought some rain while NASA, Alabama and I enjoyed Thai food for dinner. This guy added warmth with minimal bulk. Earmarking for London packing as well.

H&M b&w hat
Blackmeans coin pouch

Again, I feel better when I break up an all-black outfit. There’s nothing wrong with ABC (all black clothing), and I envy those who pull it off with ease. For me, at my age, an entirely head to toe black ensemble feels effortful, or lazy, possibly even both. I can’t explain it.

Chanel Boy Bombay bag

I’m keeping this Boy bag, but giving a new home to two of his brothers. I feel like I’m separating kittens from their litter. I don’t know how cats deal.

Off-White x Nike sneakers

The tarp on these shoes felt appropriate in the rain. While the rest of my outfit feels restrained, I appreciate how these shoes, with the ropes and writing and silver and zip tie, celebrate the joy of piling everything on.
