Look: triangles.

I had some stressful dreams last night (avoiding someone in their own apartment, only to have them find me and tell me horrible truths). So I decided I was going to feel cozy and comfortable today. Self care in the form of wool, teddy fur, and bouncy spikes.

The Post-Nightmare outfit

Original Use vest

The vest epidemic in the bay area rages on. It’s the equivalent of giving flowers on Valentine’s Day - you’re doing as the next guy and not even trying. And don’t get me started on corp merch.

This might be my favorite piece of clothing from Target. The teddy fur and periwinkle bring me back to the late 90s. It feels like a genuine, warm hug.

Zara wool coat

A lot of people were out in woolly coats today. I wonder if they were also plagued with bad dreams and comforting their unsettled heads with big, warm outerwear. Maybe they were just cold and I’m romanticizing a Zara coat. What else is new.

Brooches and pins

I was inspired by Fursac’s A/W 2025 runway show, where they had shoulders and elbows of sweaters charmingly littered with pins. So before I headed to work, I pinned Matthias Schweighöfer and a robot to my lapel to keep me company throughout the day. They actually brightened up my day!

Off-White X Nike sneakers

Once upon a time in Chipotle, one of the most gorgeous men I’ve ever seen in this city asked me about these shoes. We both looked at my feet as we inched our way down the assembly line. I wish I had told him about my affinity for Nike waffle shoes, or that I wanted these shoes because they’re wearable assemblage art (not because they’re Off-White). But I think all I said was “They’re fun and comfy.” Speaking thoughtfully about your shoes while ordering authentic Mexican food is harder than it looks.

Signet ring
Prada Brique bag

A small structured bag that sits nicely on the body is best with the maxi-coat. And look: triangles.
