Druthers
Anthropologie w&b cap
Might be getting too warm to wear this wintry favorite. Whatever. If I had my druthers, I’d wear scarves and leather through the haziest summer day out of spite.
Velvet tapestry coat
For a lick-our-wounds lunch with Loyee in Hayes, I opted for velvet. I need to get as much mileage out of this new acquisition while I can. Could I really move to someplace warmer and more conservative? Shudder to think.
Chanel Bombay Boy bag
Velvet? Check. Patent Chanel? Duh. Pile on the gayness.
Prada fringe loafer
I remember when I aspired to move to San Francisco while I was still a student at Berkeley. I would make pilgrimages to Banana Republic (on the street where I now live), dreaming of having a salary that would afford me a wardrobe like what I saw in store.
The August before senior year began, I bought shoes at Banana Republic that were more appropriate for the office than campus. My whole look was a mess. Imagine if I had purchased these instead… life would have been so much prettier (and comfier). Like I could have afforded Prada back then. Blah.
