Swingy and loose

As Saturninus said to Tamora in my favorite Shakespeare play, “Today shall be a love-day…” I knew it was from Titus Andronicus; ChatGPT insisted it was from Love’s Labour’s Lost. Read the actual text, students. Happy V-Day!

The Inadvertently Queer Hogwarts outfit

Henrik Vibskov box coat

I felt like being swingy and loose. The voluminous sleeves make wearing this akin to a robe.

Color square socks

When I look at these socks on my feet, I think “PIZAZZ!”

White pom pom hat

Every knit hat should have a removable pom pom, to give men options. I love a pom pom. When worn with my swingy coat, it gives an oddly collegiate look.

Prada fringe loafer

To put a little prep in my step.

Monki white shirt

As much as I hate all the “wardrobe staple” lists that aver you MUST have a good white shirt, life does require that you have at least one good one for certain occasions (none of which I consider fun). I simply don’t find a white shirts practical; wrinkles are highly visible, they stain easily, and don’t even get me started on people who love wearing something “crisp”. How is wearing stuff that requires starch and professional pressing a practical essential?

But alas, I wore one of the few white shirts I own because I wanted to wear a tie necklace.

Pulp Roma tie necklace

The vintage store in Monti where I picked up my Fornasetti sweatshirt also upcycles Italian ties into bedazzled necklaces. You can wear them around your neck or crossbody. I was so enchanted by these encrusted ties that I bought four, each one-of-a-kind. This is what I consider a true souvenir from Rome (apart from a tattoo).
