Tendrils

Cognomen vest

A gilet when worn in the UK, and a hazard if not braided to the right length (perish the thought of one of its tendrils grazing an airplane toilet!). While thin, it’s made of tight wool, and my god did I break into a sweat huffing through Heathrow and Paddington to get to Holborn.

Weekday tee

Picked up a fresh black tee from Weekday, in a lighter heft now that it’s Spring. And you know what I say about Springtime attire: time to put away your black clothes and start wearing your black clothes!

Isabel Marant sneakers

These troopers served double duty: appropriate for traipsing through Liberty and Hyde Park with Syco, but also great to wear to the gym — at 3am. Thanks jet lag. :/

Henrik Vibskov box coat

This guy received praise from both Syco and the makeup artists at Selfridges. Perfect for blocking the wind, and for Sunday tea at Sketch.

Chanel Portobello zip flap
Oak + Fort sling bag

The only purse I needed on this trip. It helped remind me that I needn’t look for any new leather bag - I have nice ones that are loyal and functional.

Sadly, the Oak + Fort bag was used only once. It did prove useful on my solo shopping morning at Spitalfields and Shorditch (one of the salespeople at the vintage mart complimented it, which was nice of her). The bows were coming undone and falling off by the time I made it to Notting Hill for used magazine shopping.
